It's been a 25 year journey since I started to paint in a more serious fashion, going through many gyrations during these years. I enjoy learning and experimenting ; through time one technique has added to another, encouraging me to paint intuitively.I work playing with materials and building layers until the image reveals itself. I would like it to be interpreted by the viewer as they bring their perspective to it, and be surprised by unpredictable combinations of the accidental and intentional in paint and mark making. When these combinations culminate in a rich balance that is pleasing and holds the viewer’s attention I feel the painting is complete.
